Habib Abubakar is a Senior Climate Change Specialist at the Islamic Development Bank since September 2021, focusing on strategic planning and implementation in climate finance. Prior to this role, Habib served as a Guest Lecturer at Universitas Gadjah Mada, emphasizing the importance of genuine green investment in sustainable energy development. With extensive experience at the African Development Bank Group as a Climate Finance Readiness & PPF Specialist, Habib supported country-driven initiatives to enhance institutional capacities and climate action frameworks. Previous roles also include Partner Consultant at G-PAC Consulting and GCF Project Advisor at FAO, alongside a position as Capacity and Partnership Development Officer at the African Development Bank.
