Gemma Barbera Serret is an accomplished perfumer with extensive experience in the fragrance industry. Currently serving as Perfumer and Consumer Products Perfumer Manager at Iberchem since July 2024, Gemma previously held key positions at Cosmo International Fragrances from October 2012 to June 2024, where roles included Perfumer and Fragrance Manager for Consumer Products. Prior experience includes work as a perfumer at Compañía General de Esencias from November 2003 to December 2012, a company specializing in fragrances for personal care and household products. Gemma holds a PhD in Chemistry from Heriot-Watt University, where research focused on organic synthesis of raw materials, complemented by a Master's in Fragrances & Flavours from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and various postgraduate qualifications in cosmetic formulation and business sciences. In 2017, further expertise was acquired through a degree in olfactory analysis at ISIPCA.
