Jiachen Xiang, CFA, has a robust background in mining engineering, with experience spanning over seven years in various roles. As a Mine Engineer II at Tenke Fungurume Mining, Jiachen provided technical support for mine operations, focusing on design, planning, and production forecasting while mentoring other engineers. Previously, at Freeport-McMoRan, Jiachen worked on mine design and infrastructure projects across Africa and Central America, contributing to life-of-mine scheduling and the implementation of MineSight Schedule Optimizer. Additionally, Jiachen served as an Adjunct Instructor at The University of Arizona, teaching mine design software applications, and held roles in quality assurance and research during early career internships. Jiachen earned a Bachelor's degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Arizona and an MBA in Global Mining Management from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
