Ramona Pelich is a Satellite Imagery Processing Specialist at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) since January 2023. Prior to this role, Ramona served as a Research Associate at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) from January 2016 to December 2022. Ramona's expertise in satellite imagery began as a Ph.D. candidate specializing in SAR image registration at CLS - Collecte Localisation Satellites/Télécom Bretagne between April 2012 and December 2015. Earlier in their career, Ramona worked as a Junior Developer focused on Automatic Inspection Systems at Continental Automotive Romania from July 2008 to July 2010. Ramona holds a PhD in Remote Sensing from IMT Atlantique and has a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from both IMT Atlantique and Universitatea Politehnica din Timişoara, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Universitatea Politehnica din Timişoara.
