Maurizio Ingegneri is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of nuclear safety and safeguards. Since February 2002, Maurizio has been with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), currently serving as the Section Head for Safeguards Coordination, and has held various positions including Acting Section Head and Senior Inspector for Safeguards Coordination. Prior to IAEA, Maurizio worked as a Patent Examiner at the European Patent Office from 1999 to 2002 and as a Researcher at the Institut de Protection et Surete Nucleaire from 1997 to 1999, focusing on safety analyses of nuclear reactors. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Nuclear Safety from Università di Pisa and a degree in Nuclear Energy Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma.
