Melisa Denis currently holds the position of Independent Board Member and Audit Committee Chair at SmartKem, Inc., where the company focuses on innovative organic thin-film transistors. Additionally, Melisa serves as a Board Member for Hydrofarm LLC, the leading distributor of hydroponic equipment in North America, and is a Board of Regent for the University of North Texas, as appointed by the Governor of Texas. As the Chief Executive Officer of Miracle Pointe Holdings, Melisa oversees the development of high-end residential properties. Prior experience includes serving as Global Lead Partner at KPMG, managing global tax and advisory services for multinational clients, and working as an International Tax Manager at Arthur Andersen & Co. Melisa holds a Master of Accounting in Tax from the University of North Texas and completed executive leadership training at The Wharton School.
