Sam Whitaker is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in process engineering and manufacturing. Currently serving as Process Engineering Manager at Hunter Douglas, Inc. since June 2017, responsibilities include leading process engineering teams and overseeing product launches and process improvements in the Honeycomb Stacking area. Previously, Sam worked at Steelhead Composites as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, where significant cost and scrap reduction projects were executed. Additional experience includes roles at Kenworth Truck Co. as a Manufacturing Engineer and Associate Design Engineer, focusing on new product development and tooling requirements. Early career experience includes an internship at Grant County Public Utility District. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University and an Associate of Arts from Walla Walla Community College.
