Eric Severson is a legal professional with extensive experience in intellectual property and licensing. Currently serving as Chief IP Counsel at Hunter Douglas, Inc. since October 2019, Eric oversees a global legal team managing a substantial patent and trademark portfolio for a leading architectural product and window covering company. Prior positions include Assistant General Counsel at Polaris Industries and Lead Counsel for Intellectual Property at General Electric Healthcare Systems, along with a background as an Intellectual Property Attorney at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP. Eric's foundational experience encompasses naval service as a Nuclear Submarine Watch Officer and a Nuclear Propulsion Officer in the United States Navy. Eric holds a JD from the University of Wisconsin Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.
