Jin-Myoung Lim has a diverse work experience starting in 2011 as a Graduate Research Assistant at Seoul National University. From March 2011 to February 2017, they worked in that role. They then moved on to The University of Texas at Austin, where they were a Postdoctoral Fellow from March 2017 to August 2017. During this time, they focused on surface and interface reaction mechanisms of high-performance Li-ion and Li-S batteries and also worked on optimization algorithms and data science/machine learning development. In September 2017, Jin-Myoung Lim began their role as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Northwestern University, where they worked until August 2019. While at Northwestern University, they focused on developing high volumetric energy/power battery systems and conducting studies on battery systems and solution-processed nano materials. In 2019, Jin-Myoung Lim joined Hunt Energy, initially as a Senior Device Engineer from August 2019 to December 2021. From December 2021 to December 2022, they served as the Project Technology Lead, and since January 2023, they have held the role of Venture Technology Manager.
Jin-Myoung Lim began their education journey in 2011 at Seoul National University, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mechanical Engineering. Jin-Myoung successfully completed this program in 2017. Following their doctoral studies, from 2017 to 2019, Jin-Myoung joined Northwestern University as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the field of Materials Science and Engineering. Additionally, in the year 2017, they took another postdoctoral fellowship opportunity at The University of Texas at Austin, focusing on Physical Chemistry. Finally, in 2021, Jin-Myoung enrolled at Quantic School of Business and Technology to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, which was completed by 2022.
