Peter Hutchings has a strong background in sales and management. Peter started their career as an Engineer at South Bend Controls in 1987 and later moved on to become a Project Engineer at Marotta Controls, Inc. In 1991, they joined Parker Hannifin - Pneutronics Division as an Engineering Manager, where they managed various aspects of new product development and sustaining engineering. Peter then transitioned to South Bend Controls as the VP of Engineering, where they developed tactical and strategic plans for aerospace and commercial product business units.
In 2006, Hutchings joined Curtiss-Wright Controls as the VP and GM, and later became the Global Sales Director. Peter was responsible for expanding sales at Embraer, managing a direct sales force, and developing new customer sales. Peter also played a key role in acquisition due diligence, presenting and defending sales and gross margin plans, engineering advancements, and support plans.
In their most recent role as the Director of Sales at Humphrey Products, Hutchings managed a sales department and was responsible for strategic planning, contract negotiations, pricing, and sales process optimization. Peter also revised forecasting processes and implemented a new business opportunity vetting process.
Throughout their career, Hutchings has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a track record of driving sales growth and profitability.
Peter Hutchings received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Saint Anselm College between 1982 and 1985. Peter further pursued their education at the University of Notre Dame, where they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 1985 to 1987. Subsequently, Peter obtained a Certificate in Executive Management from the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business in 2000 and 2001, specializing in Business Administration and Management.
