Kaan Gunes has extensive experience in sales, product management, and strategic marketing across multiple industries, including chemicals and materials. Currently serving as the Director of Sales and Strategic Marketing at humble bee bio, Kaan previously held the position of Sr. Director of Product Management at Solugen, where significant contributions included developing carbon-advantaged materials and forging global partnerships for decarbonization efforts. Kaan's career includes key roles at Ascend Performance Materials, driving business development and managing a $200M specialties portfolio, and at Eastman Chemical Company, leading a $250M innovation program focused on sustainable materials. Kaan holds an Executive MBA from Rice Business and a PhD in Polymer Engineering from The University of Akron, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Boğaziçi University.
