Purity Kagwiria is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in women's empowerment, social justice, and organizational strategy. Currently serving on the Board of Trustees for Humanity United and as a Board Member for Kakenya's Dream, Purity also contributes as an Associate and Facilitator at Spring Strategies. From April 2020 to March 2024, Purity held the position of Senior Fellow and Director of the With and For Girls Fund and Collective at Purposeful, where strategic leadership was provided in participatory grantmaking. As Executive Director of Akili Dada from 2011 to 2020, Purity transformed the organization into a regional and international thought leader on issues affecting adolescent girls and young women. Purity holds an M.B.A. from ALU School of Business, a Bachelor’s in Gender and Development Studies from the University of Nairobi, and a Diploma in Journalism from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication.
