Carine J. Chehab

Canada Senior Director at Human Rights Watch

Carine J. Chehab is an experienced professional in the field of human rights and international relations. Since June 2015, Carine has served as the Canada Senior Director and previously as Miami Director at Human Rights Watch. Prior to this role, Carine held positions at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies as a Strategic Partnerships Consultant and Strategic Partnerships Manager for the Middle East North Africa region, where significant funding was mobilized for emergency and development projects. Carine has also contributed as a Lead Researcher for Global Integrity, a Graduate Teaching Assistant at McGill University, and through various internships with UNRWA and the Fulbright Commission, focusing on social empowerment and project management. Carine's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Political Science from McGill University and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Florida International University.
