Dr. Joe Tai has a diverse work experience starting in 2007 as an Attorney-at-Law at Haverstock and Owens, A Law Corporation. In 2016, they became the Chief Innovation Officer & Chief IP Counsel at Instant Care, Inc., a company specializing in in-home healthcare technology. Dr. Tai then went on to hold various leadership positions, including Chief Development Officer & Head of IP Counsel at Astrid Pharma Corp, Co-Founder of ImageKiwi, and CEO & Co-Founder of Tainnovation. In 2020, they became the Chief Strategy Officer, Head of IP & Co-founder at MaxConnect Medical Inc. Dr. Joe also served as a Board Member for the Fu-Jen Catholic University Foundation (FJUF). Dr. Tai is currently the Co-Founder & Chief Legal Counsel at Power8 Tech Inc. and will begin a role as the Chief Strategy Officer at Hukui Bio in 2023.

Dr. Joe Tai completed their education history as follows:

From 1993 to 1999, they attended Fu Jen Catholic University where they earned both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.

Starting in 2000 until 2005, Dr. Joe Tai pursued a Ph.D. in Chemistry with a focus on Green Technology at the University of California, Davis.

From 2005 to 2008, they attended Golden Gate University's School of Law where they obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in Law, with a specialization in intellectual property law with a specific emphasis on patent law.
