Sanchit Gandhi is a Machine Learning Research Engineer at Hugging Face since February 2022, focusing on developing robust and generalizable speech recognition systems. Previously, Sanchit completed an internship as a Machine Learning Research Engineer, contributing to the open-source speech team and enhancing the Transformers repository using JAX, Flax, and PyTorch. Sanchit also served as President of the Cambridge University Cricket Club from July 2020 to June 2021, overseeing club activities and navigating challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. A summer internship at the University of Cambridge involved a research project on interpretable methods for data augmentation in spoken language assessment. Sanchit gained early engineering experience as a Structural Engineering Intern at JDL Consultants Ltd, where structural analysis and computational modeling skills were developed. Sanchit completed a degree at the University of Cambridge after attending Bristol Grammar School for GCSE and A-Levels.
