Brigitte Tousignant is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Head of Communications at Hugging Face since October 2022. Prior to this role, Brigitte excelled as the Lead Science Journalist and Scientific Communicator at Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute from August 2020 to September 2022. Brigitte also held the position of Graduate Research Assistant at Concordia University, where assistance was provided to Dr. Elyse Amend on the Canadian Data Journalism Research Project. Brigitte holds a Master of Arts in Digital Innovation in Journalism from Concordia University, with a thesis focused on the effects of artificial intelligence on Canadian journalism. Additional experience includes roles in journalism, project coordination, digital marketing, and copywriting across various organizations. Brigitte's educational background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biology from St. Lawrence University and a high school diploma from College Bourget.
