Laurent Bouillaut is an experienced professional in the field of microbiology and biotechnology, currently serving as the Executive Director of Science and Technology at HTL Biotechnology since October 2023. Prior roles include Vice President of Discovery and Translational Research and Senior Director of Molecular Biology at DermBiont, Inc. Over the years, Laurent has held various positions such as Project and Business Operation Manager at Biose Industrie and Principal Scientist at DermBiont, Inc. Prior experiences also include roles as a Senior Scientist at ConsortiaTX, Inc., Program Manager and Senior Research Scientist at Matrivax R&D, and a post-doctoral associate at Tufts University, where research focused on the regulation of Stickland reactions in Clostridium difficile. Laurent's academic background includes a PhD in Microbiology from AgroParisTech and a DEA in Medical Microbiology and Bacteriology from Université de Caen Normandie.
