Paul Dao has held various positions in the IT industry since 2005. Paul began their career as an IT Trainer at the HCM City University of Technology (HCMUT) in 2005. In 2006, they joined Nortel Networks as a Project Mentor Leader, where they were responsible for Microsoft technology training and providing security and technical support for the IT department enterprise. In 2008, they moved to AppliedMicro as an IT Project Manager, managing Asia IT departments and providing technical advice and support. In 2010, they joined Cisco as a Program Manager, managing all phases of the software development lifecycle and maximizing profitability through client consulting. Finally, in 2012, they became a Founder at HTGSOFT INC, where they were responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, and business goals and objectives.

Paul Dao obtained their Engineer's degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology between 2000 and 2005. In 2009, they earned their Master of Information Systems from University of Phoenix. In 2007, they obtained their Microsoft Certified System Engineer from Microsoft Corp. Paul also acquired their CCNP from Cisco College in 2007. In 2010, they obtained their MCITP from Microsoft Corp and CSM from Scrum Alliance. Paul also obtained their PMP (Project Manager Professional) from Project Management Institute of Minnesota (PMI-MN) in 2010. Paul Dao is currently pursuing their Certified Scrum Master from SCRUM ALLIANCE.
