Joel T. has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries. Joel started their career as a Bartender at The Beach House Restaurant in 2016 and held this position until 2018. In 2018, Joel worked as a Jr Mechanical Technologist (Co-op) at Fleetway Inc. for a few months. The following year, they became the Walk Safe Shift Manager at Camosun College from September 2019 to April 2020. In 2020, Joel worked as a Package Courier at Purolator Inc. from April to September. Currently, they are employed at HTEC, where they started as an Engineering Co-op in May 2021. Joel then progressed to the role of Junior Engineering Technician from September 2021 to May 2022. Joel is currently working as a Mechanical Engineer in Training at HTEC, with no specified end date.

Joel T. started their education in 2017 at Camosun College, where they pursued a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology/Technician. Joel successfully completed this program in 2019. In order to further their education, Joel enrolled at Camosun College again in 2019 for an Advanced Diploma (Bridge to UBC) in the same field. This program served as a pathway for him to gain admission to The University of British Columbia. In 2020, Joel transferred to The University of British Columbia and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science - BASc in Mechanical Engineering, which is expected to be completed in 2022.
