Mathieu Baalman currently serves as the Head of the International Banking Team for International Subsidiary Banking at HSBC since July 2022, overseeing a team of relationship managers and expanding a portfolio of international corporate clients. Prior to this role, Mathieu worked at HSBC Continental Europe as a Senior Corporate Banking Manager from April 2015 to June 2022, focusing on portfolio management for large and midcap corporate clients. Previous experience includes serving as a Senior Relationship Manager at BNP Paribas Corporate & Investment Banking, where responsibilities included managing a portfolio of approximately 50 international corporate clients, and as a Relationship Manager at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. handling a portfolio of medium-sized enterprises. Early career stages involved being a Sales Trainee at Vebego International and a trainee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands. Mathieu holds a Master of Science in Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
