Ian Pratt

Global Head Of Security at HP

Ian Pratt currently serves as the Global Head of Security at HP, a position held since September 2019. Pratt has been a member of Cambridge Angels since 2011. Before joining HP, Pratt co-founded and was CEO of Bromium from June 2011 until its acquisition by HP in 2019, where leading the creation of innovative technology and products was a primary focus. Additionally, Pratt held the role of VP of Advanced Products at Citrix Systems from 2007 to 2011, overseeing the architecture and strategy for XenServer and XenClient. As a co-founder and leader of the Xen hypervisor project at Xen.org from 2000 to 2011, Pratt played a significant role in the development of the community focused on the Xen Hypervisor. Prior experience includes founding XenSource, which was acquired by Citrix Systems in 2007, and serving as a Senior Faculty member at the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory from 1997 to 2007. Ian Pratt earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge between 1992 and 1996.
