Matthew Footer is a Laboratory Manager at Howard Hughes Medical Institute since March 2009, responsible for overseeing daily laboratory activities, training staff, and managing the lab budget. Previously, Matthew held various roles including Laboratory Consultant for Dr. Mark Krasnow at Stanford University and Centra Valbio, Research Associate at Stanford University School of Medicine, and Technical Associate at Whitehead Institute. Matthew has extensive experience in laboratory management, equipment maintenance, and staff training, having also served as Associate Research Scientist at Brandeis University and Laboratory Assistant at Cornell University, where foundational skills in cell biology were developed. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cell Biology from Cornell University.
