Jake Sergent has extensive experience in collaboration and enterprise solutions, currently serving as Director of Collaboration Capabilities at Howard Hughes Medical Institute since July 2016, leading a team focused on custom IT solutions using Microsoft technologies. Previously, Jake held various managerial roles at Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK, overseeing the development of intranet applications and the implementation of enterprise solutions during significant company transitions. Jake's early career at USA TODAY included roles as Project Manager, Manager, and Systems Analyst, contributing to the development of cloud-based collaboration tools and the consolidation of SharePoint farms. Jake also gained experience in systems programming at Riggs National Bank and quality assurance at Erol's Inc. Jake holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Virginia Tech.
