Patrick is the Managing Partner of Beachwood Ventures, a venture capital and advisory firm he founded in 2018. He currently serves as an Advisor to Mineral Answers, a technology platform that brings transparency to mineral ownership, and as a Mentor at Capital Factory in Austin, Texas. Patrick specializes in fundraising, strategy, operations, and talent acquisition. As a U.S. Marine, Patrick is passionate about employing veterans in leadership positions across the portfolio.
For the past 16 years, Patrick has served his country with distinction in the United States Marine Corps. He completed two combat tours to Iraq, as an infantry platoon commander and a Recon Company Commander. Patrick is a two-time recipient of the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal and continues to serve as a Major. He is a graduate of the Marine Corp University’s Command & Staff College and Expeditionary Warfare School, and was the top academic graduate in his class at The Basic School.
Patrick holds an MBA from the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University, where he was a Roy H. Park Leadership Fellow and Nolan Scholar. He earned a BA in Economics and Government from the University of Texas at Austin and is a recipient of the Frank J. Ruck Leadership Award. Patrick serves on the Johnson Advisory Council at Cornell.
Patrick is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and serves on the National Council for the American Enterprise Institute, a public policy think tank. He was recently recognized as an EY Entrepreneur of the Year® nominee, a Dallas Business Journal 40 under 40 awardee, and an Oil and Gas Investor Forty under 40 honoree. Patrick resides in Dallas and enjoys fly fishing, spending time in the mountains, and studying geopolitics.
