Yena Lee

Substitute Violin at Houston Symphony

Yena Lee is currently serving as Assistant Professor and Lecturer of Violin at the University of Oklahoma since August 2021, while also holding the position of Section First Violin with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and Substitute Violinist with the Houston Symphony. Yena Lee has contributed to music education as Assistant Artistic Director at the Casalmaggiore International Festival since July 2017 and previously worked at Rice University from August 2018 to May 2020 as a Teaching Fellow and lecturer in Music Fundamentals. Additional teaching roles include positions at Boston University, Yale University, and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, where Yena Lee gained extensive experience in violin instruction and music pedagogy. Yena Lee's educational background includes a Doctor of Musical Arts from Rice University and multiple degrees from Yale University and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, culminating in a solid foundation for a distinguished career in music performance and education.
