Grace Weakley, RDMS, RVT has a diverse work experience in the field of diagnostic medical sonography. Grace started their career as a Sonographer Student - Intern at Southeast Memorial Hermann in 2018, where they gained hands-on experience in performing diagnostic imaging exams and ultrasounds on abdomens, obstetrical and gynecological areas. Grace also acquired skills in operating a variety of diagnostic imaging and sonography equipment.
After completing their internship, Grace worked as a Post Graduation Intern Sonographer at South Main Family Clinic for a brief period in 2019.
In the same year, they joined HCA Healthcare as a Sonographer/Ultrasound Tech, where they performed various diagnostic imaging exams and ultrasounds on different areas of the body, such as abdomens, obstetrical and gynecological areas, thyroid, testicular, vascular, liver biopsy, and central, dialysis, and PICC line insertion using ultrasound guidance. Grace gained expertise in using and operating different diagnostic imaging and sonography equipment.
Grace also worked at Houston Methodist Hospital in 2019 as a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist, where they performed diagnostic imaging exams and ultrasounds on abdomens, obstetrical and gynecological areas, thyroid, biopsy, soft tissue head and neck, renal and abdominal doppler, scrotal, and US needle guided procedures. Grace utilized various diagnostic imaging and sonography equipment to produce accurate and high-quality scans.
In 2020, Grace worked as a Dental Assistant at MINT dentistry before transitioning back to their field as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at San José Clinic in 2019. At San José Clinic, they performed diagnostic imaging exams and ultrasounds on abdomens, obstetrical and gynecological areas, thyroid, soft tissue head and neck, renal, scrotal, and vascular. Grace gained expertise in using and operating a variety of diagnostic imaging and sonography equipment.
In 2022, Grace joined UTMB® as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Advanced Cardiovascular Student, where they gained advanced cardiovascular sonography skills and knowledge.
Grace then worked at HCA Healthcare in 2022 as a Vascular Sonographer, focusing on vascular ultrasound exams.
Currently, Grace is employed at Houston MRI & Diagnostic Imaging as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, where they utilize their skills and expertise in performing diagnostic imaging exams.
Throughout their career, Grace has consistently demonstrated their ability to produce accurate and high-quality scans that can be interpreted by radiologists. Grace has gained extensive experience in using and operating a variety of diagnostic imaging and sonography equipment.
Grace Weakley, RDMS, RVT has a diverse education history in various fields of study. Grace obtained a Certificate in Secretary Studies from TAFE Western Australia. Grace then went on to earn an Associate of Arts and Sciences in General Studies from San Jacinto College. Grace later pursued a Certificate in Dental Assisting from Houston Community College.
Continuing their education, they attended San Jacinto College again and completed an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Grace further expanded their academic achievements by earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Healthcare Services from the University of Houston.
In 2021, Grace attended Alvin Community College and pursued an Associate of Science (AS) degree focused on Advanced Technology Cardiovascular.
In addition to their formal education, Grace also holds several certifications. Grace is a Registered Dental Assistant through the TSBE and a Certified Dental Assistant through DANB. Grace is also certified in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association. Furthermore, they are a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and has obtained the ARDMS certification.
