Dr. Josefa Davila currently serves as Senior Executive Director at Houston ISD since June 2023. Previously, Dr. Davila held the position of Executive Director for Learning, Leading, and Innovation at Midland ISD from July 2021 to June 2023, and worked as a District School Leadership Improvement Specialist at Fort Bend ISD between January 2020 and July 2021. Earlier roles include School Leadership at KIPP Texas Public Schools - Houston and serving as Chief Operations, Accountability, and Compliance Officer and Elementary School Principal at Southwest Schools. Dr. Davila also has extensive experience with Houston ISD as a School Principal and Assistant Principal, along with a background as a High School Principal Intern. Educational qualifications include an Ed.D. in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston, a Master's in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and a Bachelor of Science in Bilingual Education from the University of Houston.
