Natasha M. is a dedicated professional with a strong background in research focused on racial equity and affordable housing in rural communities, currently serving as a Research Associate at the Housing Assistance Council since August 2022. Natasha has experience as a College Prep Advisor at South Florida Aquatic Club, where the first college preparatory program was designed to guide student-athletes and their families. Natasha completed a Master of Science in Community and Economic Development with a focus on sociology at Illinois State University, where a graduate thesis titled "Steps Towards Liberation for Low-Income Black Residents through Anti-Racist and Counter-Racial Capitalist Community Development Practices" was published. Prior experience includes roles as SmartPath Program Director at The Education Fund, Secondary Science Teacher with Teach For America, Graduation Coach at Hillsborough High School, and Administrative Assistant and Student-Athlete Ambassador at the University of Michigan. Natasha holds a Bachelor of Science in Movement Science from the University of Michigan.
