John Thursfield has extensive work experience in various roles within government organizations. Currently, they serve as the Head of Parliamentary Engagement at the Houses of Parliament Restoration & Renewal. Prior to this, John was a Strategy Delivery Manager at the House of Commons from 2017 to 2020. John also worked at the Food Standards Agency as a Portfolio Manager from 2015 to 2017, where they managed a team and led change management initiatives. In their earlier years, John held multiple roles at the House of Commons, including Portfolio Manager, Project Manager, and Training Manager. In these positions, they successfully oversaw investments, managed high-profile projects, and improved services for new MPs.
John Thursfield received a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of Leeds in 2004. In 2007, they obtained a Master's Degree in Political Theory from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). John then pursued a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Westminster from 2008 to 2010. In 2015, John completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management from the University of Liverpool.
