Karan D. has a diverse range of work experience. Karan most recently served as the Director of PMO & Product Ops at Hotel Engine starting in 2023. Prior to that, they were at DataStax where they held multiple roles, including Sr. Manager, Chief of Staff to the CMO and Sr. Manager, Product Ops & Strategy. In these roles, they led intricate technical programs, formulated resourcing and hiring models, and coordinated a large-scale virtual summit. Before joining DataStax, Karan was a Program Manager at Yelp, where they drove the roadmap for Sales & Marketing Operations and served as an Agile coach. Karan also managed vendor relationships and selections. Karan has prior military experience with the US Army, where they served in several program and project management positions. Karan holds a Project Manager Internship and Shift Fellow position at Citrine Informatics in 2019. Overall, Karan has a strong background in program and project management, operations, and strategic planning.

Karan D. holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from San Francisco State University. Karan also has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Organizational Development and Leadership from the University of the Incarnate Word. In addition, they completed a SkillBridge Fellowship at Shift in 2019. Karan has obtained certifications as a Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance, as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, and in SQL for Beginner Data Analysis from Udemy.
