Joan Cortés Gómez has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2012, they worked at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa Edinburgh as a Server Team Lead and later as a Lead Bartender until 2015. In 2015, they joined The Doyle Collection as an Assistant Bar Manager, responsible for overseeing F&B operations. They then worked as a Gin Geek Coordinator at The Travelling Gin Professor from 2016 to 2018. From 2017 to 2018, they served as a Duty Manager at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa Edinburgh, where they managed guest service operations. In 2018, they joined Expedia Group as a Lodging Content Associate, focusing on developing hotel content. In 2019, they became a Sales Manager at Allo Housing, where they formulated and executed sales and marketing strategies. Since 2020, they have been working at Hostify in various roles, starting as a Key Account Manager, then progressing to Head of Sales & Marketing, and currently serving as the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).

Joan Cortés Gómez completed an intensive course in Growth Hacking and Growth Marketing in 2021. Prior to this, from 2007 to 2011, Joan attended the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) where they pursued a degree in Surveying Engineering. In addition to their education, Joan also obtained a certification in Travel Tech EMEA in November 2021 from Travel Tech institution.
