Montserrat Montané Garcia serves as a Research and Development Laboratory Technician within the Applied Metabolomics Research Group (LIMA) at the Research Institut of Hospital del Mar (IMIM) in Barcelona since December 2022. Previously, Montserrat completed a Master's Thesis at the same institution, focusing on targeted analytical methodologies using liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry for biological sample analysis. Prior experience includes working as an Analytical Chemist at INGENIERIA ANALITICA S.L., where Montserrat conducted air sample and biogas analyses via gas chromatography, and as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, optimizing a method for assessing kidney stone risk in cats. Montserrat holds a Master’s degree in Applied Chromatographic Techniques from Universitat de Girona and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
