Drew Horsell has over 32 years of experience in government and related industries. Drew has worked as an equipment operator, integrated logistics support manager, leader, project manager, product support manager, contracts manager, and consultant. Some of their notable projects include Joint 8190 Phase 1 Deployable Bulk Fuel Distribution, Land 53 Phase 1BR Tranche 2 Emerging Night Fighting Technology, and Land 17 Phase 2 Digital Terminal Control System. Drew is a graduate of the Royal Military College, Duntroon. Prior to their government work, they were a Product Manager at MTU Detroit Diesel Australia and a National Fleet Manager at the Department of Defence. Drew also served as a Captain in the Australian Army. Their first job was as an Accounts Receivable Clerk at Schwarzkopf Professional.

Drew Horsell holds a Bachelor of Management and Professional Studies degree in HR and Business Management from Southern Cross University, which they obtained from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they attended Saint Augustine's College, Brookvale from 1983 to 1990. In 1995 to 1996, they attended the Royal Military College, Duntroon, but there is no information available on the degree or field of study pursued there. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a PRINCE2® Foundation certificate in Project Management from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in 2015 and is currently pursuing a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from Horsell Academy, to be obtained in 2023.
