Jim Shipman is an experienced healthcare professional with a robust background in patient access and reimbursement. Currently serving as the Director of Patient Access Liaison at Horizon since May 2022, Jim previously held the position of Director of Field Reimbursement at ViiV Healthcare from April 2019 to May 2022. Before that, Jim was the Director of Payer Relations at GSK, where responsibilities included managing a field reimbursement team and supporting specialty biologic therapies. Notably, Jim contributed to the launch of Benlysta while serving as the Payer Relations Manager at GSK. Earlier roles include Regional Reimbursement Manager at Abraxis BioScience and various positions at Covance, focusing on reimbursement and patient access issues. Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in 1998.
