Chenchao Xu is an experienced image algorithm expert currently leading the static perception group at Horizon Robotics since May 2024. Prior to this role, Chenchao served as a senior software engineer in perception at Inceptio from December 2021 to April 2024, and worked as a deep learning and computer vision engineer at YITUTech, focusing on face recognition and clustering from September 2018 to December 2021. A brief tenure at Huawei Seattle Research Center as a machine learning engineer involved super-resolution projects. An internship at Clobotics Global included developing CNN classification models for beverage bottle detection, achieving over 90% accuracy. Chenchao's early research experience involved machine learning and biomedical image analysis at Miciosoft Research Asia. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Biomedical and Health Informatics from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Beihang University.
