Ogechi Ibeanusi has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Starting in 2019, they worked as a Head Residential Advisor at SMASH and as a Middle School Teacher at the San Francisco Unified School District. In 2020, they became a Teacher Education Social Media Manager at the University of San Francisco and a JMCS Teacher at John Muir Charter Schools. Ogechi Ibeanusi began their education in 2009 at SMASH Academy. Ogechi then attended the University of Southern California from 2014 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History. After that, they pursued their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Urban Education and Social Justice from the University of San Francisco from 2019 to 2021. During this program, they also earned a California credential in Social Science. Following their MA, Ogechi Ibeanusi continued their studies at the University of San Francisco and enrolled in the Doctor of Education (EdD) program, specializing in Organization and Leadership concentration in K-12 Educational Leadership (CA PASC), from 2021 to 2024. Lastly, they completed their education at the University of Pennsylvania, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Nonprofit Leadership from 2023 to 2025.
