Thomas Barber has a extensive work experience that spans over multiple companies and roles. Thomas began their career in 1990 at Carson's as a Sales Area Manager, where they worked until 1995. Thomas then moved on to Spiegel, where they served as a Store Manager from 1995 to 2003. In 2003, they joined JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a Branch Manager, a role they held until 2020. Most recently, Thomas worked at Horizon Bank, starting in 2020 as a Branch Manager and eventually transitioning to the position of Branch Manager, Corporate Headquarters in August 2022.

Thomas Barber earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Education from Purdue University Northwest, where they studied from 1986 to 1990.
