Jimmy Lau

Corporate HRA Director at Hop Lun (Hong Kong) Limited

Jimmy Lau has extensive work experience in human resources. Jimmy started their career in 1999 at H&M Hennes & Mauritz (Far East) Limited, where they served as a Country Manager for Indochina. In this role, they oversaw various functions such as order follow-up, quality control, and monitoring shipments. Jimmy also set up a Representative Office in Phnom Penh.

From 2003 to 2007, they held the position of HR Manager at the same company and was responsible for setting up a global HR structure/platform for production offices. Jimmy managed and outlined a team of Merchandisers, Product Developers, R&D, and Colour Technicians, coordinating cross-country quotations, order follow-up, and product development.

After leaving H&M, Jimmy Lau worked as an HR Manager at H&M Hennes & Mauritz Hong Kong Limited, where they set up HR blueprints for the retail business and was involved in recruitment, training, developing, and retaining staff.

Jimmy then joined Tesco International Sourcing as an HR Manager from 2010 to 2013. In this role, they led, designed, and delivered the People Plan globally, providing support to people managers and their teams. Jimmy also managed employee relations, organizational design, and change management.

Prior to their current position, Jimmy Lau worked at Gap International Sourcing as a Senior HR Director and later as an HR Director. During their tenure from 2013 to 2015, they played a key role in the company's HR operations.

Jimmy is currently serving as the Corporate HRA Director at HOP LUN, a position they have held since June 2015.

Jimmy Lau attended Schillerska Gymnasiet from 1987 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a focus on Graphic Design.
