Mike Schofield currently serves as a State Representative for District 132 in the Texas House of Representatives, representing approximately 170,000 residents in Katy and CyFair while actively involved in the Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence and Elections Committees since January 2015. In addition to public service, Mike Schofield is a Senior Counsel at Hoover Slovacek LLP, focusing on defending business clients in commercial litigation. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant General Counsel and Advisor to Texas Governor Rick Perry, where legislative matters concerning the judiciary, tort reform, and election law were primary responsibilities. Mike Schofield's legal career began at Baker Botts LLP as a Litigation Associate, followed by in-house counsel roles at Equiva Services LLC, managing commercial litigation matters. Mike Schofield holds a Juris Doctor from LSU Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rutgers College.
