Vishwas Prabhakara has a diverse work experience spanning over different industries and roles. Vishwas is currently the Founder & CEO of Honey Homes, a membership service that provides homeowners with a dedicated handyperson. Prior to this, they were the Chief Operating Officer at Digit, a company acquired by Oportun in 2021, focused on making saving money and paying off debt effortless.
Vishwas has also held the position of Vice President and General Manager at Yelp Reservations and Nowait, where they were responsible for the growth and management of restaurant management, reservation, and waitlist software. Vishwas served as a Board Member at Nowait, a mobile network for casual-dining restaurants, before it was acquired by Yelp.
Additionally, Vishwas has served as a Mentor at the Connected Commerce Accelerator by R/GA + Westfield Labs. Vishwas was the CEO of beRecruited, a college athletics recruiting platform, and Fanvibe, a sports service that allowed users to check-in to sporting events and earn rewards. Both companies were eventually acquired.
Earlier in their career, Vishwas worked in business development at Digg, focusing on revenue generation and partnerships. Vishwas also held the role of Director, Office of the CEO at Delivery Agent / SeenON.com, where they contributed to strategic initiatives for the company's growth.
Vishwas completed their MBA from Harvard Business School and has a strong educational background.
Vishwas Prabhakara pursued their education at multiple institutions. From 1998 to 2002, they studied at Carnegie Mellon University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and Economics. Later, they attended Harvard Business School from 2006 to 2008, completing their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. In 2010, they furthered their knowledge and skills by attending Y Combinator, where they developed expertise in Startups.
