Cristian is a Research Engineer currently working at Honda Research Institute USA, Inc. since January 2023, focusing on scene understanding utilizing lidar, vision, and language models, along with rapid iteration and implementation of MVPs and research experiments. Previously, Cristian held positions as a Research Engineer at Meta, contributing to Privacy AI and Oculus, and as a Research Intern at Curious AI, where methods for continual learning and training agents in MuJoCo were implemented. Additional experience includes roles as a Machine Learning Engineer and Computer Vision Engineer at Cognition Factory GmbH and nuTonomy, as well as an Applied Machine Learning position at Facebook, where GBDT for ranking was trained and evaluated. Cristian also began a career as a Junior Software Engineer at Fortiss. Cristian holds a Master of Science in Robotics, Cognition, and Intelligence and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from the Technical University of Munich.
