Uzma Imtiyaz Shaikh is a Project Scientific Assistant - B at the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), TIFR, since November 2021, and the Founder of The Bio Brigade, a science outreach group established in April 2021 that focuses on enhancing scientific aptitude and awareness among schoolchildren through free online workshops inspired by John Dewey¡¯s "Learning by Doing" philosophy. Uzma holds a Master of Science in Microbiology from St. Xavier's College (2019-2021) and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Kishinchand Chellaram College (2016-2019).
