Hilary McManus

Hilary McManus, Ph.D., ACC, is a distinguished academic and leader in the field of biological and environmental sciences. Currently serving as a Co Manager at One Earth Leadership since January 2023, McManus also holds the position of Full Professor at Le Moyne College since August 2010, where efforts are directed towards enhancing campus sustainability through strategic initiatives. With a commitment to student empowerment, McManus has developed innovative courses that incorporate fieldwork and research. As a Fulbright Specialist since February 2018, McManus has fostered international collaboration in algal research, while participation in the Homeward Bound initiative emphasizes the role of women in STEMM fields. Further contributions include serving as an Honorary Research Associate at the New York Botanical Garden, alongside previous teaching and research roles at various institutions. McManus holds a Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology from the University of Connecticut, complemented by degrees in Botany and Biology from The University of Kansas and State University of New York at Oswego, respectively.
