Rachel Stoltzfus has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly in the area of housing services. Rachel started their career as a Care Facilitator Intern at Oaklawn Psychiatric Center in 2012, where they taught social and emotional coping skills to individual children and collaborated with case managers to provide holistic treatment. In 2013, they joined the Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP) as a Housing Program Intern, assisting with the administration of the housing program. Rachel later advanced to roles such as Housing Program Lead, Assistant Program Manager of Housing, and Program Manager of Housing, where they provided guidance and support to the housing assistant team and worked on various projects to enhance program performance. In 2019, Rachel became the Associate Director of Housing at HPP and was responsible for the overall operations and development of housing services. In 2020, they were promoted to Director of Housing & Strategic Partnerships, overseeing daily operations, planning, and implementation of housing services, as well as serving on the executive team. Additionally, Rachel served as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Chair at HPP since 2013, developing company-wide programs and collaborating with recruiting for talent development. Prior to their work at HPP, Rachel worked as a Retail Sales Associate at Kohl's from 2011 to 2013.
Rachel Stoltzfus attended Goshen College from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work. Prior to that, they attended Hesston College from 2009 to 2012 and earned an Associate's degree in Social Work. In terms of additional certifications, Rachel has completed the Sexual Harassment and Abusive Conduct Prevention Training Certificate from the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing in May 2022. Rachel also obtained a Mental Health First Aid certification from Mental Health First Aid USA in July 2019. Additionally, Rachel participated in a Mentorship Program at the Homeless Prenatal Program and completed the Adult Needs and Strengths (ANSA) training offered by the PRAED Foundation.
