Linda has worked as a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist for over 25 years in a wide variety of settings across the Midlands. She is currently a Non- Executive Director in Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust and also a second opinion doctor working for the Care Quality Commission.
She has worked closely with colleagues in child and adult services, using research and evidence based practice in developing novel services. She helped to develop early intervention in psychosis services across Birmingham and acute and high dependency child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) within the West Midlands region, including one of the first CAMHS acute admission wards in the UK.
She worked within the Children's Hospital in Birmingham for several years in Clinical lead and Director roles with service and professional line management responsibilities. She has also been active in the Royal College of Psychiatrists as a trainer, tutor, examiner and mentor.
Linda remains passionate about raising standards of care for vulnerable people by working with colleagues to continue to drive changes and improve quality of services and care.
