Barbara Butts Williams serves as a Board Member at Allina Health, where leadership roles include Chair of the Human Resources and Compensation Committee and membership on the Philanthropic Committee. Additionally, Barbara holds the position of Independent Director at Home Federal Savings Bank, engaging in the Executive Loan and Nomination and Governance Committees. Barbara has an extensive academic background, having worked at Capella University from 2002 until April 2024, where efforts as Executive Dean of External Relations & Partnerships focused on philanthropy and social equity, earning recognition for the institution’s community engagement. Other notable roles at Capella include Dean of the School of Business and Technology, Dean of the School of Education, and Interim Dean of the School of Business. Barbara holds a PhD and MA in Human and Organizational Systems, along with a Master’s Degree in Business and Leadership, and a Bachelor’s Degree in History/Political Science.
