Kathryn Girardin has worked in various roles in the healthcare industry, specializing in occupational health, speech and hearing. Kathryn served as the Director of Occupational Health, Speech & Hearing at Holyoke Medical Center since May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Manager of the Speech and Hearing Department at the same organization from August 2016 to May 2023. Before joining Holyoke Medical Center, they worked as the Operations and Policy Manager at Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech from July 2013 to August 2016. In their earlier years, they served as the Director at Clarke Hearing Center from March 2007 to July 2016, where they oversaw daily operational and clinical audiology activities and implemented change programs.
Kathryn Girardin holds a Doctorate in Audiology from Central Michigan University. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Arts in Audiology at the University of Connecticut, where they also obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Communications Disorders. In addition to their educational credentials, Kathryn has obtained certifications including Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ), Lean Healthcare Professional from the Six Sigma Global Institute, Patient Safety Specialization from The Johns Hopkins University, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, and various healthcare compliance certifications. Kathryn is also a licensed Audiologist through the Massachusetts Board of Examiners and the New York State Office of the Professions.
