Roger Foenander

Vice President Group Taxation & Treasury at Reliance Worldwide Corporation

Roger Foenander has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Roger started their career at the Australian Taxation Office and later worked at EY as a Senior Taxation Manager. Roger then joined Mayne Nickless Limited as the Group Taxation Manager, where they were responsible for managing the international legal/tax structure. Roger also worked at Rio Tinto as a Principal Consultant Taxation, providing tax advice and playing a key role in due diligence processes. Roger then moved on to Amcor, where they held various roles, including Group General Manager Taxation and Vice President Strategic Development. At Amcor, Roger was the principal internal adviser to the board and executive management on taxation matters and played a crucial role in formulating finance strategies. Prior to their current role, Roger worked at Aristocrat as the Head of Tax. Currently, Roger holds multiple advisory positions, including being a Vice President of Group Taxation & Treasury at Reliance Worldwide Corporation, a member of the Advisory Committee at the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre, and a board member at La Trobe University Business School Advisory Board.

Roger Foenander attended various educational institutions throughout their career. In 1978, they began their undergraduate studies at La Trobe University and obtained a Bachelor of Economics in 1981. Following this, they pursued a Postgraduate Diploma of Taxation Law at Monash University from 1986 to 1987, specializing in Taxation Law. In 1998, Roger enrolled in RMIT University and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Apart from their formal education, Roger Foenander has also acquired several certifications including CA (Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand), Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) from The Tax Institute, Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD), and Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants from CPA Australia.
