Joy Chen has extensive work experience in the field of language services and client services. Joy is currently the Global Managing Director of Language Services at Hogarth, a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Language Services, Americas at Hogarth from April 2022 to October 2022.
Before joining Hogarth, Joy worked at RWS Group as a Program Director from August 2019 to April 2022. In this role, they oversaw a portfolio of tech giants, building partnerships with stakeholders and having direct P&L responsibilities.
Joy also worked at Welocalize as a Client Services Director in 2019, where they provided leadership for strategic enterprise client programs and maximized operational leverage to drive up margin targets.
In addition, Joy served as the Head of Production at CQ fluency from January 2014 to October 2018, where they achieved significant accomplishments such as increasing production profit margin, implementing project management and quality service metrics, and introducing data analytic tools.
Earlier in their career, Joy held positions at RR Donnelley as a Team Lead from June 2008 to December 2013, and at Citi as a Lead Localization Analyst from May 2005 to June 2008.
Joy Chen has completed an Executive Education Program in Digital Strategies for Business at Columbia Business School in 2020. In 2023, they pursued a course in NLP, Applied AI, and Digital Transformation through Coursera. Joy also holds a Master's degree in Language and Literature from Fujian Normal University in China. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in HIPPA from CMS in 2018, and completed a Document 508 Compliant Course from Softek Solutions, Inc. in 2015. Joy has also received a certification in Digital Strategies for Business from Columbia Business School.
