Jason Downs is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as a Shareholder at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck since January 2022 and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law since August 2016. Previously, Jason held the position of Chief Deputy Attorney General at the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia from November 2019 to December 2021 and served as General Counsel. Jason was also a Partner at Downs Collins, P.A. from July 2017 to November 2019 and at Murphy, Falcon & Murphy from March 2015 to August 2017. Earlier in their career, Jason worked at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, where roles included Training Director, Supervising Attorney, and Attorney from October 2007 to February 2015. Jason's academic background includes a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Jurisprudence from the University of Baltimore.
